The recycling center for Spooner is located at 1400 River St. (East side of 63 as you drive toward Shell Lake). Separate your corrugated boxes into the blue containers. All other recyclable items are single sort into the large green containers. Unfortunately, posted hours of operation are Saturdays only.

 

Note: According to the Northwest Regional Planning Commission website there is recycling center in Shell Lake (North end of town, west of Hwy 63 on New Knapp Rd.) that is open 24/7.

 

 

RECYCLING ALUMINUM CANS ONLY

Willing to put in a little extra effort to support a good cause? This aluminum can recycling drop off is located at the Holiday gas station at the shopping center with Economart. The aluminum is then sold with proceeds going to support the Spooner area youth hockey.

The City of Spooner Wood Burning Facility is a drop-off site for yard waste. It is free of charge to Spooner residents. The location is off of County Road A, east of US HWY 53. The best directions heading west from Potato Lake are to take County M north, then head west (left) on County A. The entrance is on the north (right) side just after Mann Rd. The site takes cut brush and yard waste only (no bags of any kind). Hours are from 7AM - 3PM daily.
