RECYCLING

The recycling center for Spooner is located at 1400 River St. (East side of 63 as you drive toward Shell Lake). Separate your corrugated boxes into the blue containers. All other recyclable items are single sort into the large green containers. Unfortunately, posted hours of operation are Saturdays only.

 

Note: According to the Northwest Regional Planning Commission website there is recycling center in Shell Lake (North end of town, west of Hwy 63 on New Knapp Rd.) that is open 24/7.

 

RECYCLING ALUMINUM CANS ONLY

Willing to put in a little extra effort to support a good cause? This aluminum can recycling drop off is located at the Holiday gas station at the shopping center with Economart. The aluminum is then sold with proceeds going to support the Spooner area youth hockey.

 

Garbage

This household garbage drop off is located east of Potato Lake on SR 70 (south side of road right before you reach County B). It's an honor system with a pay box on site. Prices are $5 for the large black plastic bags and $3 for the kitchen size white plastic bags.
